Scarlett Johansson was born on the 22nd of November, 1984 at New York City New York. She is an American actor and singer whose talents have gained her recognition across a range of kinds of genres, from thrillers to adventures to period films. Johansson was raised in New York City as the daughter an architect and the owner of a production company. Hunter, her twin brother, and she were both the youngest out of four kids. At the age of seven, her interest in acting was growing. Her first audition was for commercials. Following a short period, she began studying in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. When she was eight years old, Johansson starred alongside Ethan Hawke as Sophistry in an Off-Broadway show. At the age of nine she made her acting debut in Rob Reiner's North (1994).
